Overview

In 2025, Freising already celebrated its major Volksfest on the festival grounds with a festival tent, wine hall, and night café. The Volksfestkriterium – a hobby cycling race – as well as the traditional parade were among the highlights of the ten-day festival week.

The 2025 Freisinger Volksfest offered the proven program of the Upper Bavarian cathedral city: a large festival tent with live music, a wine hall, a night café, and numerous amusement rides. The Volksfestkriterium, a hobby cycling race in the city center, was won by a local competitor, and the traditional Volksfest parade opened the festival week. With around 220,000 guests over ten days, the festival once again confirmed its status as one of the largest Volksfests in the Munich surrounding area and as the social highlight of the Freising district.
