An Anniversary in the Bavarian Donaumoos

Karlskron, in the district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, is part of the historic Donaumoos in Upper Bavaria. The district of Adelshausen-Aschelsried is home to three traditional clubs whose founding date is being celebrated together: the Adelshausen Volunteer Fire Department, the "Lustige Brüder" Adelshausen Shooting Club, and the local Böllergruppe. 2026 marks the 251st anniversary – a year being consciously celebrated in its tradition.

Character of the Festival

• Three-day Festival Tent: From May 29th to 31st, 2026, a festival tent will be erected at the Aschelsried festival grounds, dedicating each day to a special focus.
• Senior Citizens' Afternoon: On one of the festival days (Friday/Saturday), a classic senior citizens' afternoon with coffee, cake, and music will be held – a firm component of major Bavarian club anniversaries.
• Club Meetings and Ceremonial Act: The program framework includes a ceremonial act with a church parade, a ceremonial speech, a club evening, and dancing.
• Böllergruppe: The firecracker salutes during the anniversary are a regional specialty and an acoustic hallmark of major Karlskron festival days.
