Gabriele Susanne Kerner, known worldwide as Nena, is one of the most influential figures in German pop music. Her career began in 1982 with "Nur geträumt" and the 1983 world hit "99 Luftballons", which put German-language pop music on the international map. Since then, she has released numerous albums, appeared as a coach in TV formats, and remained one of the most prominent artists of her generation throughout the decades. Her songs are the soundtracks of German pop culture for four generations.
