Fockbek Village Festival — Aalversuperdaag

Fockbek — Administrative Seat with 16 Member Municipalities

Fockbek is a municipality with around 5,000 inhabitants in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, located about 7 kilometers west of Rendsburg. The municipality is the seat of the Amt Fockbek, which comprises 16 member municipalities — a typical Schleswig-Holstein administrative structure that shapes rural administrative life.

Aalversuperdaag — Low German Tradition

The name Aalversuperdaag comes from Low German and essentially means 'the day when everyone gathers and there's a super day' — a phrase that well describes the village festival. The Aalversuperdaag has been celebrated annually since the 1980s, in its 44th edition in 2026. This makes the festival one of the longest-standing and most firmly established village festivals in the region.

• Village Run with 5 km and 10 km routes, starting at 5:30 PM — embedded in the village festival
• Fockbek Fire Brigade Marching Band provides musical accompaniment
• FC Fockbek handles catering — bratwurst, fries, drinks
• Festival Tent and stage with live music
• Children's Program with bouncy castle and games
• Festive Parade through the village

The Aalversuperdaag brings together the municipalities of Amt Fockbek — and additionally attracts visitors from Rendsburg, the Hüttener Berge recreational area, and the eastern part of the district. The festival is representative of many North German village festivals, where rural tradition, fire brigade commitment, and club activities combine for a typical summer weekend.
