Round of the Flat Track World Championship at the Bergring-Arena Teterow
For almost a century, Teterow has been considered one of the most important motorsport addresses in Northern Germany. In 2026, another chapter will be added: The FIM Flat Track World Championship will stop at the Bergring-Arena for the first time. The third round of the 2026 season was originally planned for Haunstetten; following a venue change, the motorcycle world governing body FIM decided to move the race to Teterow.
Flat Track is a discipline of motorcycle sport rooted in the USA: On an oval dirt track without a front brake, riders drift wheel-to-wheel through the corners. Speed, courage, and racing instinct decide the victory. The FIM Flat Track World Championship is the premier international series for this discipline, bringing together the best flat track riders in the world.
The Bergring-Arena is part of the traditional Bergring grounds, where grass track and speedway races have been held since 1930. With its facilities and its track racing tradition, it is considered one of Germany's most respected venues – a fitting setting for a championship round.
The third round of the 2026 FIM Flat Track World Championship will take place on June 27 in the Bergring-Arena Teterow. The race was originally planned for Haunstetten; in March 2026, the FIM announced the change of venue, with the date remaining unchanged.
For Teterow, this is a premiere: The Bergring-Arena will host the international flat track elite for a World Championship round for the first time. The exact daily schedule with practice, qualifying, and race heats will be announced via the official channels of the FIM and the Bergring.
