Eleven-day anniversary festival of three Truchtlaching clubs in the Chiemgau region
Truchtlaching, a district of the Seeon-Seebruck municipality in the Traunstein district (AGS 09189), will experience a special event in 2026: three clubs are celebrating significant anniversaries at the same time. The Truchtlaching Marksmen's Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary, the GTEV D'Alztaler (traditional costume preservation society) 125 years, and the Veterans' and Soldiers' Association 150 years. For this occasion, the clubs have joined forces for the "Festwoch' Truchtling".
Mayor Martin Bartlweber of the Seeon-Seebruck municipality has taken on the patronage – quoted in the Traunsteiner Tagblatt as saying: "I'm happy to do it, it's an honor for me." This patronage underscores the importance of the festival for the Truchtlaching district and for the entire Seeon-Seebruck municipality.
The festival week will take place on the festival grounds next to the Truchtlaching sports field. Over eleven days, a festival tent will be erected here, forming the focal point for the program events. From traditional costume festivals to wine festivals and marksmen's festivals, the area brings together the different club traditions under one roof.
Seeon-Seebruck is located on Lake Chiemsee in the Chiemgau region, between Traunstein and Prien. The municipality is known beyond the region for Kloster Seeon (Seeon Monastery), the Seeoner See lake, and the scenic routes around Lake Chiemsee. The festival week fits into the vibrant club culture of the Chiemgau, where traditional costume, marksmen's, and veterans'/soldiers' clubs are among the defining pillars of village customs.
The eleven-day Festwoch' Truchtling from June 18 to 28, 2026, is the joint anniversary festival of the Truchtlaching Marksmen's Club (50 years), the GTEV D'Alztaler (125 years), and the Veterans' and Soldiers' Association (150 years). The venue is the festival grounds next to the sports field; Mayor Martin Bartlweber has taken on the patronage.
The program is divided into four thematic highlights: a traditional costume festival on the weekend of June 20-21, a wine festival on June 26, a family day with an oldtimer exhibition and a rock concert on June 27, and the marksmen's festival to conclude on June 28.
A detailed program, times, and band names will be published by the three host clubs via the Seeon-Seebruck municipality.
Seeon-Seebruck is located on Lake Chiemsee, about 90 km east of Munich. By train via Übersee or Prien station (Munich – Salzburg line), then continue by bus or taxi to Truchtlaching. By car via the A 8 motorway (exit Übersee or Bernau) and country roads.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Food and drinks in the festival tent are subject to charge. Tickets may be required for the festival concert and individual program items.
