Beer Culture in the Hallertau

The Festival of Beers in Rohrbach is a beer festival organized by the Rohrbach Volunteer Fire Brigade. The venue is the Rathausplatz in the town center. The focus is on tasting beers from different breweries – a small tribute to regional brewing art in the heart of the Hallertau, the largest contiguous hop-growing region in the world.

Taste and Enjoy

At selected stands, guests can try and compare beers from different breweries. This is accompanied by catering with hearty food and an entertaining supporting program. The cozy character of the festival – manageable, down-to-earth, and close to the village – is what makes it so special: the community meets here for beer, music, and good cheer.

Supported by the Fire Brigade

The organizer is the Rohrbach Volunteer Fire Brigade. As with many Bavarian club festivals, the proceeds go to the club and fire brigade work – from equipment to youth promotion. The voluntary commitment of the firefighters supports the festival and makes it an example of lived club life in the community.
