When the Farger Schützengesellschaft von 1895 invites you to its Volks- und Schützenfest, a piece of North German tradition comes alive in the north of Bremen. On the club's own shooting range at Betonstraße in the Farge district, the festival combines the solemn seriousness of the shooting fraternity with the exuberant atmosphere of a Volksfest over several days. A Club with a Long History
The Farger Schützengesellschaft was founded in 1895 and sees itself as a place of tradition and cultural openness at the same time. Over 130 editions of the Volks- und Schützenfest have firmly anchored the club in the life of the district. The royal court, with the Schützenkönig (King) and Königin (Queen) and their retinue, represents the festival throughout the year and is the focus of the celebrations. In addition to the Schützenfest, the club's activities also include a family Easter bonfire and the traditional 'Kohlfahrt' (cabbage tour).

The 131st edition is planned for the second weekend of July 2026 (likely Friday, July 10th to Monday, July 13th, following the long-standing Friday-to-Monday festival tradition) on the club's own shooting range at Betonstraße in Bremen-Farge. Following the established pattern, the weekend will include the opening and shooting program, Sunday morning will feature a wake-up call by the corps, church service, and a festive parade through Farge, along with marquee events with music and dancing.
