Wine, Music, and Joy of Life in the Historic Castle Courtyard
Blomendal Castle in Blumenthal is one of Bremen's oldest preserved castle complexes and is now a vibrant event venue in Bremen North. Once a year, the castle courtyard transforms into a wine garden: at the Wine Festival at Blomendal Castle, private vintners from the Southern Wine Route serve their wines - from classic to modern. The old walls and the late summer atmosphere make the visit a special experience.
Wine calls for fitting cuisine: hearty bratwurst, crispy fries, and fine appetizers accompany the tasting. Live music creates the atmosphere in the castle courtyard, with danceable rock, pop, blues, and soul. It's a feast for all senses - convivial, relaxed, and steeped in history.
The Wine Festival is a regular fixture in Bremen North's late summer event calendar. Organized by the Blomendal Castle Association, it attracts wine lovers, families, and neighbors from Blumenthal and the surrounding area. Admission is free, so you can drop by spontaneously, bring friends, and let the evening wind down with a glass of wine.
