Electronic Summer of Love — the Odonien Rave

From August 7 to 8, 2026, Odonien opens its gates for the 14th edition of Electronic Summer of Love. Two nights and one day of electronic music in the unique art and industrial backdrop of Cologne sculptor Odo Rumpf. A festival that stands out from classic large-scale raves through its consistent fusion of visual arts, sculpture, and electronic music.

Odonien — "Free State for Art and Culture"

Odonien at Hornstraße 85 is one of Cologne's most remarkable art and event venues: an industrial area that sculptor Odo Rumpf has been transforming into a walkable sculpture park since the 1990s. Huge steel and scrap sculptures, workshop spaces, open-air zones, and covered areas characterize the grounds, which calls itself a "Free State for Art and Culture". During Electronic Summer of Love, the entire area becomes a dance floor.

Sculptures, Stages, Industrial Charm

What makes the rave unique: You dance among monumental steel sculptures, against industrial backdrops, under light installations, and in an atmosphere far removed from anonymous club architecture. Stages are spread across different zones of the area — outdoor spaces, covered halls, intimate niches.

Cologne-Nippes / Bilderstöckchen — The Neighborhood

Odonien is located in the district of Bilderstöckchen in the Nippes borough — a formerly industrial area that is now one of the most vibrant subculture neighborhoods in Cologne. Hornstraße is easily accessible by tram and bus — and Odonien has established itself as an insider tip for electronic music in Cologne, alongside Bumann & Sohn, Stadtgarten, and King Georg.
