A Club Festival with History

Illerrieden is a small municipality in the Alb-Donau district south of Ulm, directly on the right bank of the Iller river and on the border with Bavaria. The Illerrieder Dorffest is the main festival of the Musikverein Illerrieden e.V. and has been a firm fixture in June for years. You'll experience a classic Swabian village festival: voluntary, down-to-earth, with lots of brass music and a strong network of clubs in the background.

Festival Grounds at the Illertalhalle

The venue is the Festplatz an der Illertalhalle at Gartenstraße 60. The Illertalhalle serves as a covered festival hall in case of rain; the outdoor area is used with a festival tent, beer benches, and catering stands. Its location – on the outskirts between the hall and the Iller meadows – offers space for several hundred guests and short distances between the stage, catering, and performance area.

Illerrieden — Iller Meadows, Schwarzes Loch, and its Location on the Border Ridge

For those who want to combine the village festival with a day trip: The Iller meadows around Illerrieden are among the most beautiful cycling routes in Southern Germany; the Iller Cycle Path leads directly through the town. Ulm and Neu-Ulm are only about half an hour away; to the south, Oberschwaben opens up with Memmingen and the Allgäu. The village festival is therefore also a good break on longer day trips.
