City Festival Tradition in Vöhringen
The Vöhringen City Festival is one of the most popular events in the Swabian town of Vöhringen. On the second weekend in July, the Kulturring Vöhringen transforms the town center into a large festival stage. 2026 will already see the 47th edition – a testament to the long tradition of this city festival.
Diverse Music Program
The city festival offers a diverse music program and a varied stage offering. Celebrations take place from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday. Culinary stands and a social supporting program make the festival a meeting point for the entire region.
"Next Level Akkordeon" – Instrument of the Year 2026
A special accent in 2026 is set by the accordion, which has been named "Instrument of the Year 2026". Under the motto "Next Level Akkordeon", the Akkordeon-Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg (ALJO) and the Landesjugend-Akkordeonorchester Bayern (LJAO) will present a joint special concert. The two youth orchestras showcase the future possibilities of the German accordion orchestra scene.
Vöhringen – District of Neu-Ulm
Vöhringen is located in the District of Neu-Ulm in the Bavarian administrative region of Swabia, on the Iller river near the border with Baden-Württemberg. The city festival is firmly anchored in the cultural life of the town and combines tradition with a diverse music program.
Vöhringen City Festival — edition 2026
The 47th Vöhringen City Festival 2026 will be celebrated from July 10 to 12 in the town center. Friday and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Sunday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The Kulturring Vöhringen offers a diverse music program. Special highlight in 2026: Under the motto "Next Level Akkordeon", the Akkordeon-Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg (ALJO) and the Landesjugend-Akkordeonorchester Bayern (LJAO) will perform a joint special concert – fitting for the accordion being the "Instrument of the Year 2026".
