Festival Between Jets and Hangar

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport in Rheinmünster (Rastatt district) is Baden-Württemberg's second-largest airport after Stuttgart and is located in the middle of the Rhine plain between Rastatt and Baden-Baden. On its grounds stands the German-Canadian Air Force Museum, which displays an unusually extensive collection of jet aircraft and planes from NATO history. The Airpark Festival uses this site as a unique festival backdrop — indoor floors in the hangar, outdoor stages directly next to parked jets, light shows with the hangar as a projection surface.

International Electro Acts

The festival presents "international acts from the electronic music scene with plenty of bass in their luggage." The program typically includes Techno, House, Bass Music, and Drum & Bass — the top acts of the international festival scene. The exact lineup for 2026 will be published on the festival website; in the past, acts from the top tier of the electronic scene from Berlin, Amsterdam, London, and Frankfurt have played at Airpark.

Two-Day Festival July 4–5, 2026

The festival days of July 4th and 5th, 2026, run from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM each day — open-air during the day with sunshine over the airfield, indoor floors in the hangar when the weather changes or night falls. This combination of indoor and outdoor floors makes the format weather-independent — an advantage over purely open-air festivals.

Location and Travel

The airport is accessible via the A 5 (Bühl exit), with free park-and-ride facilities available. Shuttle services run from Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden, with details to be announced in good time before the festival on airpark-festival.de. The unusual location — between forests and fields, with no residential areas nearby — allows for late finishing times without noise protection issues, a practical advantage for a bass festival.
