About De Harvst Zingst

»De Harvst« — Low German for »The Harvest« — is the three-day family autumn festival in Zingst. Instead of loud Halloween commotion, the Baltic Sea spa focuses on an atmospheric farewell to autumn. Highlights include a kite festival with imaginative giant and illuminated kites on the beach, a fire show, stilt walker acrobatics, a lantern parade, pumpkin carving, and a 350-square-meter Halloween labyrinth in the harbor. Light installations, a culinary soup walk through the restaurants, and a children's program with craft stations complete the festival — a magical autumn start on the Baltic Sea.

Low German Autumn Tradition

»De Harvst« simply means »The Harvest« or »The Autumn« in Low German. The three-day family autumn festival in Zingst deliberately focuses on an atmospheric farewell to autumn — as a cozy alternative to loud Halloween commotion. The organizer is the Kur- und Tourismus GmbH Zingst.

Kite Festival and Fire Show

A highlight is the kite festival on the beach with imaginative giant and illuminated kites. A fire show, illuminated stilt walkers, and acrobatics transform the town into a magical stage in the evening. A lantern parade winds through the spa town and is particularly popular with families.

Labyrinth, Lights, and Soup Walk

A 350-square-meter Halloween labyrinth is created in the harbor, and the entire spa town is decorated with light installations. Children can get creative at the pumpkin carving and craft stations. The culinary centerpiece is the soup walk (»Lütten Suppentörn«): Participating restaurants serve diverse soup creations for tasting and voting.

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Vorpommern-Rügen

Zingst is located on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. »De Harvst« marks the end of the main season and invites families to a final autumnal experience by the sea before the spa town transitions into the quieter season.
