Whitsun Full of Music
The Jazz and Blues Days Zingst transform the Museumshof of the Baltic seaside resort into a stage for a musical highlight at Whitsun. Over three days, the festival presents a varied program of jazz, blues, and related genres. It is initiated and led by saxophonist Tina Tandler, who has been a fixture in Zingst's event landscape for over a decade.
Three Festival Days
The opening on Whitsun Saturday features Tina Tandler & Band with the program "Spring with Saxophone". Whitsun Sunday is dedicated to the blues – Kat Baloun & Bluespower play "Rockin the Blues". On Whit Monday, the festival concludes with a convivial Blues Matinee.
Spontaneity and Closeness
The festival deliberately focuses on spontaneity and improvisation – qualities that have always characterized jazz and blues. In the historic ambiance of the Museumshof, an exceptional artist-audience proximity emerges, setting the festival apart from large concert stages and enabling an intense, personal music experience.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Vorpommern-Rügen
Zingst is located on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The Museumshof, as the venue, combines regional history with vibrant culture – the Jazz and Blues Days are among the musical highlights of Zingst's event year.
