Beer Culture Against the Backdrop of Haidplatz
Haidplatz, one of the most beautiful squares in Regensburg's Old Town, is the stage for one of the city's most popular spring festivals. On the "Day of Beer", breweries from the city and district come together to celebrate Regensburg's centuries-old brewing tradition.
Seven Breweries, One Tradition
The participating breweries are the city breweries Kneitinger, Spitalbrauerei, and Bischofshof, as well as the district breweries Prösslbräu Adlersberg, Schlossbrauerei Eichhofen, Spezialbrauerei Schierling, and Brauerei Goss from Deuerling. They offer the entire range — from light summer beer to hearty Bock — and often brew their own special batch for the occasion.
Volksfest (Public Festival) Atmosphere in the Middle of the City
The colorful stage program includes brass music, freshly grilled bratwurst, the proven "Brauerpfiff", and the "Bier(s)pass" raffle. Admission is free — a convivial day for locals and guests alike.

On Haidplatz, seven breweries will present regional beer diversity from 10 AM to 10 PM — the city breweries Kneitinger, Spitalbrauerei, and Bischofshof, as well as the district breweries Prösslbräu Adlersberg, Schlossbrauerei Eichhofen, Spezialbrauerei Schierling, and Brauerei Goss from Deuerling. From light summer beer to strong Bock, everything is represented, plus a special brew for the occasion.
The program includes a colorful stage show, the proven "Brauerpfiff", freshly grilled bratwurst, and the "Bier(s)pass" raffle.

Schedule 2026 (Haidplatz, 10 AM–10 PM)
- 10:30 AM — Official opening with simultaneous tapping of two wooden barrels by District Administrator Tanja Schweiger and Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer
- Throughout the day — Brass music by the "Deuerlinger Musikanten"
- From 6 PM — Live music with "Erwin und die Heckflossen"
