About Day of Beer

On the "Day of Beer", the historic Haidplatz in the heart of Regensburg's Old Town transforms into a large beer garden. Seven breweries from the city and district of Regensburg present the full spectrum of regional beer diversity — from light summer beer to strong Bock. With a stage program, brass music, fresh bratwurst, and the traditional "Brauerpfiff" (brewer's whistle), admission is free.

The "Day of Beer" 2026 will take place on Haidplatz: Seven breweries from the city and district of Regensburg will be serving their diverse regional beers from 10 AM to 10 PM. The opening will feature the simultaneous tapping of two wooden barrels by District Administrator Tanja Schweiger and Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer at 10:30 AM. Free admission.

From light summer beer to strong Bock, everything is represented, plus a special brew for the occasion.

The program includes a colorful stage show, the proven "Brauerpfiff", freshly grilled bratwurst, and the "Bier(s)pass" raffle.
