34 Years of Criterium Racing in Hiltrup

The Cycling Race Around the Marktallee is a fixture on the cycling calendar in the Münsterland region. The 34th edition on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting at 2:45 PM will once again bring hundreds of cyclists of all ages to the Hiltrup district of Münster. The organizer is the traditional RSV Münster v. 1895 e.V.

The 800-Meter Circuit

The race takes place on an 800-meter circuit in the heart of Hiltrup's center:

• Start and finish on the Marktallee
• Turn into Unckelstraße
• Continue through Kardinalstraße
• Via Moränenstraße back to Marktallee

The tight urban circuit makes the race a true criterium: sprint races, intermediate sprints, point classifications — the winner is determined not by time trials, but by accumulated points.

NRW Criterium Championship

In 2026, the Hiltrup race will also host the NRW Criterium Championship for Elite Amateurs and Women — an upgrade that significantly increases the event's sporting importance and brings top riders from all over North Rhine-Westphalia to Münster.

The race day program includes races for all age groups:

• Elite Men and Women — as NRW Criterium Championship
• Velodrom Kids Cup — races for 2- to 12-year-olds
