Dorffest Elchesheim-Illingen — Community Spirit in Action
The Elchesheim-Illingen Dorffest is a classic club festival, the kind known and loved in southwestern Germany: an entire village meets for two days on the Rathausplatz and Kirchplatz, local clubs provide food and drinks, a stage offers music, children play, neighbors meet, and the community celebrates itself. The festival is organized by the municipality of Elchesheim-Illingen in cooperation with all local clubs.
Program — Food, Music, Market of Opportunities
The local clubs — from the fire department to the music association to the sports club — are responsible for the catering. Local bands will perform on stage (Polkafüchse, 5Ytongs, Time Breakers, and others), and there will be a 'Market of Opportunities' where clubs, associations, and initiatives from the community can present themselves. On Sunday, the festival opens with an ecumenical service at 10 AM — a lovely tradition that brings the village together.
Elchesheim-Illingen — The Community on the Rhine
Elchesheim-Illingen (Rastatt district, AGS 08216, around 3,200 inhabitants) is located between the Rhine and the Murg rivers, southwest of Rastatt, in western Middle Baden. The municipality consists of the two districts of Elchesheim and Illingen, is a member of the administrative community Au am Rhein/Elchesheim-Illingen, and lies in the idyllic Rhine lowlands. The Dorffest, along with the Maibaum-Aufstellen (Maypole raising) and the Christmas market, is one of the most important highlights in the community's annual calendar.

Elchesheim-Illingen Dorffest 2026
On the first weekend of July 2026, the Rathausplatz and Kirchplatz will once again become the center of the community. Saturday, July 4th, starting at 4 PM, the local clubs open their stalls — Bratwurst, regional specialties, beer, wine. On stage, the Polkafüchse and other local bands will play.
Sunday, July 5th, begins with an ecumenical service at 10 AM — followed by 'Frühschoppen' (morning pint) from 11 AM, lunch, and an afternoon program with 5Ytongs and Time Breakers. The 'Market of Opportunities' gives clubs and initiatives from the community a space to present themselves. A cozy, well-catered village festival that keeps the community spirit alive.
