Underground Metal with a Living Room Vibe
While the major German metal festivals (Wacken, Summer Breeze) attract tens of thousands, a much more intimate event has been established in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm for years: Crewsade of Metal. Organized by MetalCrew Kultur e.V. in cooperation with the Pfaffenhofen Youth Center, the festival takes place in late summer at Atlantis — an indoor location with a manageable capacity of around 200 to 300 visitors.

Who Plays Here
Crewsade is a stage for active bands from the South German underground and occasional international guests. In past editions, acts like Thrasshole and Prior The End have performed. Bands can apply via the official band application form on crewsade.de.
Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm
Pfaffenhofen is located in the district of Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm in Upper Bavaria, north of Munich between the A9 motorway and the Ilm river. The Atlantis venue, or rather the Pfaffenhofen Youth Center, are classic stages for the region's alternative youth culture.
Crewsade — edition 2026
Crewsade of Metal returns for its next edition in 2026: a weekend in late summer full of heavier sounds in the usual familiar atmosphere of Atlantis Pfaffenhofen. The event starts on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
As of Spring 2026, the lineup has not yet been finalized. Organizer MetalCrew Kultur e.V. is actively inviting bands to apply via the application form on the festival website. The final band list will be announced gradually in the weeks leading up to the festival.

- 11:00 AM — Doors open and festival start
- Throughout the day and evening — Live acts from Metal, Rock, and Punk (6–8 bands)
- 12 hours of continuous live program according to the organizer
Day 2 — Sunday, September 27, 2026
- Program to follow — Band confirmations will be published over the summer

The complete lineup has not yet been announced. In previous editions, bands such as Thrasshole and Prior The End have performed. Applications from interested bands are possible via crewsade.de. The band list will be published successively on the official festival website.

Getting There
Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm is located between Munich and Ingolstadt on the A9. By train via the Munich–Nuremberg line with a stop at Pfaffenhofen (Ilm) station. From the station to Atlantis, it's about a 10–15 minute walk or a short bus ride.
