Festival Mile in the City Center
During the Bürgerfest Pfaffenhofen, the entire city center around the main square becomes a festival mile. The town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm invites visitors from the entire district to a mix of Volksfest, Dult, and open-air concert.
Volksfest and Dult
In the Volksfest area on the main square, a Ferris wheel, children's rides, and traditional festival stalls create a lively atmosphere. In addition, there are Dult and market areas, as well as an artists' market with handicrafts.
Two Large Beer Gardens
Culinary delights await in two large beer gardens: one in front of the Haus der Begegnung and one at Sparkassenplatz. Together with the 'Stadtstrand' (city beach) area, they form cozy meeting points for families and friends.
Part of the Cultural Summer
The Bürgerfest is firmly embedded in the Pfaffenhofen cultural summer, which brings music, culture, art, and entertainment to the city on several days a week from mid-June to mid-August. Live music on multiple stages accompanies the festival with brass music, rock, jazz, and children's programs.

Grand City Festival in the Center
From June 17 to 19, 2026, the Pfaffenhofen city center will once again become a festival mile. Volksfest, Dult, and open-air concert merge into a three-day city festival with a Ferris wheel, children's rides, festival and market stalls, and live music on several stages.
Beer Gardens and Program
Two large beer gardens in front of the Haus der Begegnung and at Sparkassenplatz invite visitors to linger. The festival is part of the Pfaffenhofen cultural summer, which offers numerous other events from mid-June to mid-August.

Getting There
Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm is located between Munich and Ingolstadt, easily accessible via the A9 motorway (Pfaffenhofen exit) and by train. The festival grounds in the city center are car-free; arrival by public transport is recommended.
Admission
Entry to the Bürgerfest is free. Rides and food/drinks are charged separately.
Opening Hours
Friday from the afternoon, Saturday and Sunday from midday, with programs running into the evening hours.
