The traditional local wine festival in the Franconian wine paradise on Bullenheimer Berg
The Bullenheimer Weinfest is one of the most traditional local wine festivals in the so-called Franconian Wine Paradise. Bullenheim is a district of the market town of Ippesheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in the Bavarian administrative region of Middle Franconia, located at the foot of the distinctive Bullenheimer Berg on the Bocksbeutelstraße.
Characteristic are the wines from the Bullenheimer single vineyard site "Paradies" — especially Franconian Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and Bacchus, presented by the winemakers of the Bullenheim Winemakers' Community. Accompanying this are Franconian specialties such as bratwurst, steaks, and homemade dishes.
The festival extends over the long Ascension Day weekend from Thursday to Sunday in the festival tent at the sports grounds:
During the festival, the Bocksbeutelexpress operates as a shuttle through the wine villages of the region. The picturesque landscape around Bullenheimer Berg invites you to go hiking and cycling in the Franconian vineyards.
The 52nd Bullenheimer Weinfest will be celebrated from May 14 to 17, 2026 — over the extended weekend around Ascension Day. On Thursday, May 14, a festive ceremony at 6 p.m. will open the festival at the sports grounds.
Over four days, guests can expect a program of wine hikes through the vineyards, a party night with a cover band, the festive opening with the Franconian Wine Princess and brass music, and a Sunday with a tent service, brass music with coffee and cake, and a children's flea market. Wines from the Bullenheimer "Paradies" will be served.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Wines, food, and drinks are sold on-site by the winemakers' community.
