A week of blues workshops and concerts on the Baltic Sea beach
When the first summer guests arrive in the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren on the Mönchgut peninsula in June, a special week begins at the Regenbogen-Camp, just two minutes from the beach: the Blues Camp Göhren brings together musicians and music fans from all over Germany and Europe for a seven-day gathering, unique in northern Germany.
27 professional musicians shape the program: seasoned blues and rock musicians from German-speaking countries, complemented by guest lecturers from the USA and Scandinavia. They teach during the day and perform together on stage in the evening – a concept that clearly distinguishes the Blues Camp from classic music seminars.
Participants sleep at the Regenbogen-Camp Göhren in mobile homes, permanent cabins, or family apartments. This makes the Blues Camp a true camping experience without the hardships of classic festival overnight stays. Those who only want to listen to concerts can come freely and without registration.
Mönchgut, the southeastern tip of Rügen, is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a place of longing on the Baltic Sea for centuries. This backdrop – steep coasts, beech forests, sandy beaches – makes the Blues Camp more than just a week of music: it's a getaway that oscillates between the workshop room, the beach, and the stage.
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept: workshops in small groups during the day, and joint performances by instructors and guests on stage in the evening. New offerings such as GEMA training and open band coaching sessions complement the program. Accommodation is available at the Regenbogen-Camp in cabins and mobile homes. Concerts are freely accessible; workshops are subject to a fee and can be booked via anmeldung.bluescamp.de.
Workshop packages are booked via anmeldung.bluescamp.de; prices vary depending on workshop selection and accommodation option. Concerts and open sessions are freely accessible.
