About Seebrückentage

The Göhrener Seebrückentage festival celebrates the 280-meter-long pier of the Baltic Sea resort of Göhren annually at the beginning of August – a structure built in 1993 that has long since become a landmark of the Mönchgut peninsula. For three days, the Kurpavillon on the Bernsteinpromenade transforms into a stage for accordion orchestras, local musicians, tribute bands, DJ sets, and children's entertainment. The highlight is the atmospheric fireworks display over the Baltic Sea on Thursday evening around 11 PM. Free admission.

A bridge is celebrated

The Göhren Pier, 280 meters long and inaugurated in 1993, is a symbol of the Baltic Sea resort's resurgence after reunification. It connects the town center with the open sea and serves as a meeting point for strollers, a landing stage for ships, and a spot for sunset photographers. The Seebrückentage festival honors this structure at the beginning of August with a three-day Volksfest (folk festival) right on the promenade.

Three days of program on the beach

  • During the day: Live music from accordion orchestras, local bands, children's concerts, and maritime soundscapes
  • Beach and promenade market with arts and crafts and snacks
  • In the evening: DJ sets and dance parties on the forecourt of the Kurpavillon
  • Tribute bands of the great classics (Rock, Pop, Schlager)
  • Children's entertainment, craft stations, and interactive activities

Highlight: Fireworks over the Baltic Sea

The emotional climax is the grand fireworks display on Thursday evening around 11 PM. The fireworks rise against the dark silhouette of the pier and are reflected in the water – an image that draws many regular guests back to the Seebrückentage year after year.

Mönchgut and spa architecture

Göhren is part of the Mönchgut peninsula, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The town's spa architecture, the amber wood promenade, and the wide sandy beach make the Seebrückentage more than just a town festival: they are a piece of northern German summer culture, supported by the Göhren Baltic Sea Resort administration and local associations.

Seebrückentage — edition 2026

The Göhrener Seebrückentage 2026 will take place from Tuesday, August 4, to Thursday, August 6, daily from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM at the Kurpavillon on the Bernsteinpromenade. Three days of live music, DJ sets, children's program, and a promenade market – the highlight is the grand fireworks display over the Baltic Sea on Thursday evening around 11 PM. Free admission.

The program follows the established format: during the day, accordion orchestras, regional artists, and children's concerts; in the evening, tribute bands of the great rock, pop, and Schlager classics, followed by DJ sets and dance parties. Thursday is dedicated to the grand fireworks display, which will be launched over the Baltic Sea around 11 PM. As in previous years, the Göhren Baltic Sea Resort administration is the organizer, ensuring a balanced family program between tradition and pop culture.
