First Edition in 2026 — Bergedorf's Tribute to Regional Beer at the LOLA Cultural Centre Lohbrügge
Bergedorf is located on the southeastern edge of Hamburg and, with its marsh and Vier- und Marschlanden, is the largest district of the Hanseatic city by area. The district has its own identity — with a historic old town around the castle, vibrant local culture, and a brewing tradition being revived by local microbreweries.
In the Bergedorf district of Lohbrügge lies the LOLA Cultural Centre — one of Hamburg's most renowned local cultural addresses. Concerts, readings, workshops, art-house cinema, and festivals: For decades, LOLA has been a central venue for the independent scene in southern Hamburg. In May 2026, the centre will open its doors for a Beer Day for the first time.
The 1st Bergedorfer Biertag will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2 PM to 8 PM. This is the first edition — a new format that combines the regional brewery landscape with local culture.
Three regional breweries will present their beers:
In addition to the beer stalls, a classic summer festival program rounds off the day:
The Beer Day is presented by the Bergedorfer Zeitung — the district's traditional local newspaper. The anchoring in the local media is intended to help the format establish itself in the neighbourhood.
Hamburg is a beer city — Astra, Holsten, Ratsherrn define the cityscape. But the microbrewery scene in the Hamburg region has grown significantly in recent years. Bergedorf, located on the edge of the Hamburg region, is a logical venue for a format that brings these small breweries together and connects local culture with the local culinary scene. The first edition means: still in development, still without routine — but with the charm of a premiere.
The premiere of the Bergedorfer Biertag falls on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The venue is the LOLA Cultural Centre in Lohbrügge — one of the most renowned local cultural addresses in southeastern Hamburg.
The event is organized by LOLA and presented by the Bergedorfer Zeitung. The format combines regional breweries (4Länder, Bill Brew, It's A Wrap) with street food and live music — a classic pop-up neighbourhood day, new for Bergedorf.

If you arrive by train, you can enjoy the tastings without worry — the S-Bahn connection from Lohbrügge to Hamburg-Mitte is good. Secure a spot near the stage for The Clarry at 5 PM.
