LOLA A Cappella Summer Festival
Two a cappella concerts to round off the Hamburg summer at the LOLA Cultural Centre Lohbrügge
2026
About LOLA A Cappella Festival
LOLA A Cappella Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition positions the festival as a compact a cappella weekend: two evenings, two very different stylistic profiles (comedy and pop), a unified stage. LaLeLu on Saturday appeals to the established Hamburg audience, while Anders on Sunday targets a younger, pop-savvy demographic. This makes the festival programmatically diverse – a deliberate attempt to position a cappella beyond the classic classical or folk music labels.
The LOLA Cultural Centre is one of the regular venues for independent Hamburg music and cabaret formats. Funding from the Bergedorf District Office and the media partnership with the Bergedorfer Zeitung ensure its economic foundation and local visibility.

A Cappella Weekend in Bergedorf
For years, the LOLA Cultural Centre in Lohbrügge has been one of the most important cultural venues in the Bergedorf district. With the A Cappella Summer Festival, the venue has launched a new compact format in 2026: two consecutive evenings, two a cappella stars, a clear artistic theme. The festival thus concludes the district's summer – at the end of August, just before the start of the school year in Hamburg.
LaLeLu – A Cappella Comedy on Saturday
The Hamburg quartet LaLeLu has been one of Germany's leading a cappella comedy groups since the 1990s. With their program "Urlaub vom Hirn" (Holiday from the Brain), the group delivers its characteristic blend of precise multi-part singing, absurd stage performances, and subtle satirical humour. Topics range from middle-class everyday life and political allusions to parodies of classic pop songs. Concert starts at 8:00 PM, tickets €29 in advance, €33 at the door (concessions €29).
Anders – Pop A Cappella on Sunday
Anders is one of Germany's youngest and most stylistically interesting vocal ensembles – a five-member group that presents intelligent German-language pop music a cappella. With the program "So kurz davor" (So Close), the group showcases original compositions and reinterpretations with a clear contemporary sound. Concert starts at 7:00 PM, tickets €15 in advance, €18 at the door (concessions €15).
The LOLA Cultural Centre
The LOLA Cultural Centre is located at Lohbrügger Landstraße 8 and is one of the prominent independent cultural venues in eastern Hamburg. With a medium-sized hall, an additional small concert room, and a foyer for accompanying events, it offers the right dimensions for an a cappella festival: large enough for a decent audience, small enough for the intimate atmosphere that defines a cappella concerts. Over the past few years, LOLA has established itself as an important stage for comedy, cabaret, concerts, and song recitals.
Lohbrügge – Bergedorf District
Lohbrügge, with around 40,000 inhabitants, is one of the larger districts of Bergedorf, Hamburg's southeasternmost borough. Together with the KörberHaus, Bergedorf Castle, and the Hasse Hall, the LOLA Cultural Centre forms the backbone of the district's cultural life. The A Cappella Summer Festival is thus an important contribution to the cultural visibility of southeastern Hamburg – a region that often flies under the radar in the concert calendar of the state of Hamburg.
