LOLA Summer Salon

Open-Air Salon in the heart of Bergedorf

For decades, the LOLA Cultural Center in Hamburg's Lohbrügge district has been one of the most important addresses for local culture in the Bergedorf district – in the southeast of the Hanseatic city. In summer, the venue opens its beer garden and transforms it into an open-air stage from mid-August to early September: the LOLA Summer Salon. Concerts, readings, comedy, and poetry slams alternate – sometimes free admission, sometimes ticketed, always with the familiar atmosphere that characterizes LOLA.

• Lena Finck-Stoltenberg & Marie Sophie Koop (August 22): Low German stories and music
• LaLeLu A Cappella Festival (August 29) with the new show "Urlaub vom Hirn"
• Anders (August 30) with "So kurz davor"
• The Craic (September 4): the local all-star band with a funk and soul program

A LOLA Tradition

While the LOLA Cultural Center is closed for the summer break from July 13 to August 14, the Summer Salon serves as a gentle re-entry into the season. The beer garden, with its view of chestnut trees and the building's brick facade, offers a special setting – informal, with beer service and a picnic atmosphere. In case of bad weather, events move to the venue's large hall.

The Summer Salon is funded by the Bergedorf District Office and presented by the Bergedorfer Zeitung. This makes the format one of the supported local cultural projects in the state of Hamburg that keep cultural life vibrant beyond the city center. Tickets vary depending on the event – some dates are free, others cost up to 29 Euros.

Getting to Lohbrügge

Take the S-Bahn line S2/S21 to Bergedorf, then bus 235 or 332 towards Lohbrügge. By car, take the A25 (exit Bergedorf), then Vier- und Marschlandstraße. Free parking is available in the neighborhood.
