On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Musikverein Ruppertshofen invites you to the 36th Backofenfest at the Jägerfeld Culture and Sports Center. The festival's specialty is Salzkuchen — a typical Swabian yeast pastry baked in a mobile wood-fired oven directly on site. Visitors to the festival can experience the baking live and receive the freshly baked Salzkuchen directly from the master baker — a sensory experience that no supermarket Salzkuchen can offer.

Frühschoppen with Brass Music

The festival runs from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM — a typical Swabian Frühschoppen format. The Musikverein Ruppertshofen will play brass music during the festival — classics from the Swabian repertoire, marches, polkas, waltzes. Refreshments will be served with beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. A compact, cozy event that showcases the club life of Ruppertshofen.

For decades, the Musikverein Ruppertshofen has been the organizer of the Backofenfest and an important player in the cultural life of the small Ostalbkreis municipality.
