Backofenfest Ruppertshofen 2025

The 35th Backofenfest in 2025 continued the decades-long tradition: on a Sunday in May, members of the Musikverein Ruppertshofen set up the mobile wood-fired oven in front of the Jägerfeld Culture and Sports Center and baked fresh Salzkuchen during the three hours of the festival. The Frühschoppen format with brass music from the club orchestra attracted families from Ruppertshofen and the surrounding municipalities.

Events like the Backofenfest are the backbone of rural club life in Southern Germany — compact, rich in tradition, with a specific culinary focus, and financially important for the club's activities. The Musikverein Ruppertshofen combines the tradition of Swabian wood-fired baking with the Frühschoppen format of brass music at its festival.
