A Christmas Market with Character
The Artistic Christmas Market at Fischhof Tirschenreuth is one of the most beautiful Advent markets in the northern Oberpfalz. On the Fischhof bridge, in the courtyard of the historic Fischhof (today the district court), and on parts of the former garden show grounds, a dense network of around 140 exhibitor stalls is created over two Advent weekends.
What the Exhibitors Offer
Unlike many traditional mulled wine markets, the focus here is on genuine arts and crafts: handmade Christmas baubles, wood carvings, candles, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, fine soaps, spices, and much more. The selection is broad but curated – each stand must fit the historic ambiance. It smells of mulled wine, roasted almonds, and winter treats.
Social Commitment
The event is organized by the Lions Hilfswerk Tirschenreuth, together with the Fischhofpark support association. Admission fees and stall fees go entirely to social and charitable projects in the Tirschenreuth district.
Tirschenreuth and the Fischhofpark
The district town of Tirschenreuth (around 9,000 inhabitants) is located in the Stiftland region on the Czech border. Fischhofpark, created in 2013 for the Bavarian State Garden Show, is now the green heart of the town and a tourist highlight with the world's longest pedestrian wooden bridge (over 200 m). Illuminated during Advent, the park unfolds its full magic.
Fischhof Christmas Market — edition 2026
The Advent kickoff in the Stiftland: On the first two Advent weekends – Saturday, November 28 and Sunday, November 29, as well as Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2026 – the Fischhofpark transforms into a Christmas arts and crafts market.
In the courtyard of the historic Fischhof (today the district court), on the over 200-meter-long wooden bridge, and on parts of the former State Garden Show grounds, around 140 exhibitors will present Christmas tree decorations, carvings, ceramics, jewelry, candles, soaps, and spices. Mulled wine, roasted almonds, and regional specialties complement the offerings.

Getting There
Tirschenreuth is located on the A93 (exit Mitterteich or Wiesau), about 45 minutes from Bayreuth or Weiden. By train to Wiesau, then by bus. Parking spaces near the Fischhof are signposted.
Admission
Admission €3.50 per adult, children under 14 free. Proceeds for social causes.
