Artistic Christmas Market at Fischhof Tirschenreuth

A Christmas Market with Character

The Arts and Crafts Christmas Market at the Fischhof Tirschenreuth is one of the most beautiful Advent markets in the northern Upper Palatinate. Over two weekends in Advent, a vibrant collection of around 140 exhibitor stalls fills the Fischhofbrücke bridge, the courtyard of the historic Fischhof (now the district court), and parts of the former garden show grounds.

What the Exhibitors Offer

Unlike many traditional mulled wine markets, the focus here is on authentic arts and crafts: handmade Christmas baubles, wood carvings, candles, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, fine soaps, spices, and much more. The selection is diverse yet carefully curated to ensure every stall complements the historic setting. All this is accompanied by the scent of mulled wine, roasted almonds, and winter delicacies.

Social Commitment

The event is organized by the Lions Hilfswerk Tirschenreuth in cooperation with the Fischhofpark support association. All admission fees and stall rentals go directly toward social and charitable projects within the Tirschenreuth district.

Tirschenreuth and the Fischhofpark

The district town of Tirschenreuth (population approx. 9,000) is located in the Stiftland region near the Czech border. The Fischhofpark, created for the 2013 Bavarian Garden Show, is now the city's green heart and a major tourist attraction, featuring the world's longest wooden pedestrian bridge (over 200 m). When illuminated during Advent, the park reveals its full magic.
