24 days of open-air culture with free admission at the Seebühne
The KulturSommer im Fischhofpark Tirschenreuth is a major open-air cultural festival in the district town of Tirschenreuth, located in the Tirschenreuth district in the northern Oberpfalz region. The venue is the Seebühne (waterside stage) in Fischhofpark, a park created in 2013 for the State Garden Show, surrounding the historic Fischhof – a stage right on the water. After a break of several years, the festival will return in 2026.
Over 24 days, a packed program of concerts, tribute shows, and participatory events will take place – all with free admission. This makes the KulturSommer an accessible cultural offering for the entire region. It traditionally opens with the Tirschenreuth town band, and the town's Bürgerfest (citizens' festival) is also integrated.
Highlights include the ABBA tribute show »One Night in Sweden«, a Genesis/Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel tribute (»Invisible Touch«), a Udo Lindenberg tribute, the exclusive Dîner en blanc, a jazz brunch, a country-rock night, a laser show, the Boule championship with the Bayern-1 band, and the concluding Jäger-Abend (hunters' evening). Accompanying this is a James Rizzi exhibition showcasing colorful pop art.
The KulturSommer is organized by the Förderverein Fischhofpark Tirschenreuth (Fischhofpark Support Association) with numerous volunteers and the support of local sponsors. It enlivens the park during the most beautiful season and serves as a cultural meeting point for Tirschenreuth and the entire northern Oberpfalz region.
The 2026 KulturSommer returns to Fischhofpark Tirschenreuth after a multi-year break and runs from June 12 to July 5 at the Seebühne, with free admission. The organizer is the Förderverein Fischhofpark Tirschenreuth. It opens with the Tirschenreuth town band; the town's Bürgerfest (citizens' festival) is part of the program on June 14. Over 24 days, there will be tribute shows, concerts, a jazz brunch, the Dîner en blanc, a laser show, and family events. Accompanying this is a James Rizzi exhibition (May 30 – August 2) showcasing pop art.
Accompanying program: James Rizzi exhibition from May 30 to August 2, 2026. Any program changes will be announced by the Förderverein at fischhofpark-tirschenreuth.de.
Tirschenreuth is located in the Tirschenreuth district in the northern Oberpfalz, accessible via the A93 (Mitterteich exit) and the B299. Fischhofpark with the Seebühne is centrally located near the town pond.
Free admission to all KulturSommer events. Food and drinks are available on-site; separate conditions apply for individual special formats (e.g., Dîner en blanc).
The James Rizzi exhibition runs concurrently from May 30 to August 2, 2026 – a visit can be easily combined with a KulturSommer evening.
