Angelbachtal Christmas Market — Lights, Music, and Festive Atmosphere

When the first lights are lit on the Sonnenberg area at the end of November, one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the Kraichgau begins in Angelbachtal. On November 28 and 29, 2026, a rich program of music, culinary delights, and festive atmosphere awaits you in and around the Sonnenberghalle.

Program 2026 — Indoors and Outdoors

Saturday, November 28, 2026 — from 6 PM

The weekend kicks off on Saturday evening from 6 PM. In the outdoor area, the Christmas village shines with lovingly decorated stalls, a crackling campfire, mulled wine and punch stands, and plenty of food — from bratwurst and potato pancakes to sweet specialties. The brass choirs of the church choir and the music association ensure a festive mood.

Sunday, November 29, 2026 — 11 AM to 6 PM (Outdoor area until 8 PM)

On Sunday, the market is open continuously from 11 AM to 6 PM (outdoor area until at least 8 PM). Local clubs, schoolchildren, the dance sport club, and the church band B.o.S.S. will perform on the indoor stage and in front of the Sonnenberghalle. The municipal daycare centers are preparing a puppet show — a highlight for the youngest visitors. Around 5 PM, Santa Claus arrives in the Sonnenberghalle, and his helpers will distribute gift packages to the children. Afterwards, the church band B.o.S.S. will give their final concert in the outdoor area.

Sonnenberghalle — Modern Festival Hall in the Town Center

The Sonnenberghalle at Schulstraße 30 is the central festival hall of the municipality of Angelbachtal and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces. The combination of a heated interior and a decorated outdoor area makes the Christmas market an all-weather experience — the festive atmosphere is maintained even in rain or snow.

Angelbachtal — Kraichgau Municipality in the Rhein-Neckar District

With around 5,000 inhabitants, Angelbachtal is located in the Rhein-Neckar District, nestled in the rolling hills of the Kraichgau between Sinsheim and Wiesloch. The municipality consists of the districts of Eichtersheim and Michelfeld. In addition to the Christmas market, the Eichtersheim moated castle and the historic town center with half-timbered houses offer beautiful walks. The region is part of the Sinsheim Experience Region and stands for an authentic Kraichgau experience away from the major tourist crowds.

An Event by the Community Association

The Christmas market is organized by the Municipality of Angelbachtal in cooperation with local clubs, the Angelbachtal Dance Sport Club (TSC), the Music Association, the church community, and the municipal daycare centers. This makes the market a true community experience where all Angelbachtal stakeholders contribute.
