Trebbin — the "Clauertstadt" celebrates its center
Trebbin is a small town in the southern Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming, located about 40 kilometers south of Berlin. The nickname "Clauertstadt" goes back to Hans Clauert — the "Brandenburg Till Eulenspiegel", who lived here in the 16th century and became part of folk culture as a Brandenburg-Franconian jester. The Clauert monument on the market square is the center of the town and a point of identification — and the venue for the annual Altstadtfest.
Open courtyards and medieval camp
The program begins in the early afternoon (2 PM) with the open courtyards: residents and associations open their private inner courtyards around the market square to visitors, with coffee tables, small exhibitions, and live music. In parallel, the Celtic-Medieval Camp sets up: show fights for children with wooden swords, fortune-telling, medieval crafts, and camp life.
Main stage with swing, pop, and comedy
On the main stage at the market square, the day's programs alternate from 3 PM: dance workshops, swing sets, pop vocal performances, comedy acts, and the traditional DDR quiz — a popular program item for the generation that grew up here. From 7 PM, the evening program begins in the festival tent with dancing and live music; from 9 PM, campfire singing takes place outdoors.
