Six weeks of city festival with open-air cinema, balcony concerts, and concerts in the Klubhaus courtyard
Ludwigsfelde is situated in the Teltow-Fläming district, south of Berlin and north of the Fläming Heath. Its cityscape is shaped by both industrial history (Daimler plant, former IFA plant) and rural districts. This very diversity is reflected in the LuFestival: spread over six weeks, the city and the Klubhaus utilize all relevant venues—the Klubhaus courtyard, the city districts, the village greens of the districts, and sports fields.
A permanent fixture of the festival is the open-air cinema with Wanderkino Brandenburg. On alternating evenings, the mobile cinema crew travels through Ludwigsfelde and its districts, projecting films under the open sky onto the large mobile screen. Classics, current indie films, and family programs are on the schedule.
One of the unique features of the LuFestival is the balcony concerts: musicians perform on balconies, at building entrances, or in squares in the various districts—residents become the audience right outside their doors. This format radically lowers the barrier to entry and brings concerts to places where they wouldn't normally take place.
The Klubhaus courtyard on Albert-Tanneur-Straße is the heart of the festival: larger concerts, theater performances, and BMX shows take place here. The program ranges from rock and indie to singer-songwriters and hip-hop, as well as comedy and children's theater.
Regular components of the LuFestival are the village festivals in the districts of Löwenbruch, Genshagen, Großbeeren, Mietgendorf, and other villages within the city area. They complement the urban Klubhaus program with traditional summer festivals featuring live music, village parades, and family entertainment.
The LuFestival 2026 runs from June to July 2026 in Ludwigsfelde—for six weeks, with a decentralized program that turns the entire city into a stage. The organizer is Klubhaus Ludwigsfelde, and the program is curated together with the city, clubs, initiatives, and Wanderkino Brandenburg.
Permanent features include open-air cinema evenings, balcony concerts in various districts, live concerts in the Klubhaus courtyard, theater performances, BMX shows, and the village festivals of Löwenbruch, Genshagen, and other districts.
The current hourly program and performance dates will be continuously published on ludwigsfelde.de/lufestival and klubhaus-ludwigsfelde.de/openair.
