Village Culture South of Berlin
The Dorffest in Löwenbruch is one of the annual constants in the districts of the city of Ludwigsfelde. It is organized by the Dorfgemeinschaft Löwenbruch e.V., a voluntary association that organizes village life in the small district south of Berlin throughout the year. On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the next village festival will take place on the festival meadow — as always from 3 PM in the afternoon until 1 AM in the morning.
Classic Brandenburg Village Festival
Anyone familiar with Brandenburg village festivals knows what to expect in Löwenbruch: a stage with live music or a DJ, beer stands and bratwurst grills, coffee and homemade cake in the afternoon, a children's program with a bouncy castle, craft activities, and small games. Families meet in the afternoon, and the dance stage takes over in the evening — many young and old stay until well after midnight. Free admission, everything is organized by the association, everything is voluntary.
Löwenbruch — District of Ludwigsfelde
Löwenbruch is a district of the city of Ludwigsfelde in the Teltow-Fläming district in the state of Brandenburg. The settlement, with around 600 inhabitants, is located between Ludwigsfelde-Kernstadt, Genshagen, and Großbeeren, about 30 kilometers south of Berlin. Like many small districts in the region, Löwenbruch thrives on close-knit village life — and the village festival is the highlight of the summer calendar, where the entire village and many guests from neighbouring villages meet.
Social Commitment of the Village Community
The association Dorfgemeinschaft Löwenbruch e.V. is not only responsible for the summer festival but also for the Advent celebration, children's carnival, May Day celebration, and community events such as setting up the Maypole. The village festival finances a good part of the annual association activities — so by stopping by, you automatically support village life.
