Altstadtfest Seßlach

One of Franconia's most beautiful half-timbered towns

Seßlach in the district of Coburg is one of Franconia's most extraordinary small towns. With its completely preserved town wall, three city gates (Hattersdorfer, Geiersberger, and Coburger Tor), and an entirely intact medieval half-timbered town center, it is considered a "living Middle Ages." The annual Altstadtfest takes place in this setting – one of the most atmospheric town festivals in all of Upper Franconia.

Program and Character

• City Run on Friday: The Seßlach City Run kicks things off – from children's races and walking to the 10 km main race.
• Flea Market and Crafts: Throughout the weekend, the alleys transform into flea market and artisan galleries.
