Kabarett-Tage Kühlungsborn

The Kabarett-Tage Kühlungsborn are one of the autumn hallmarks of the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn. In times when many small cabaret stages are disappearing, the venue on the Baltic promenade upholds the tradition of the solo performance: one artist, one evening, direct exchange with the audience.

Format

Each evening features a personality from the German-language cabaret and satire scene. The shows range from political satire and literary cabaret to musical comedy. Performances begin in the early evening, allowing hotel guests from surrounding hotels to return easily.

Organiser and Venue

The organiser is the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn, whose hall, with around one hundred seats, ensures a very intimate experience. Throughout the year, the jazz, classical, piano, and world music series are also held in the same building.

Local Context

Kühlungsborn is located in the Rostock district of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Baltic seaside resort is a classic beach destination in the summer; in autumn, cultural and spa offerings take centre stage. The Kabarett-Tage are part of this season extension.
