Musical stroll through backyards, gardens, and parks in the Augustekiez district of Reinickendorf – 13 bands and ensembles, free admission
The Allee der Klänge is one of the most charming summer festivals in northern Berlin: a two-day musical journey that transforms the Augustekiez in the Reinickendorf district into a series of open performance spaces. Instead of one large main stage, a decentralized network of concerts is created in backyards, front gardens, courtyards, and small parks along Auguste-Viktoria-Allee and Scharnweberstraße. The idea: to make music audible where people live, shop, and exist.
The eighth edition will take place on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026. The program features 13 bands, soloists, and ensembles spread across about ten performance venues. The programming is intentionally diverse: family concerts in the afternoon, jazz in the early evening, world music, and singer-songwriters afterward. Those strolling through the neighborhood can create their own concert itinerary – four, five, or more sets in a single day.
The Augustekiez is located in southern Reinickendorf, bordered by Auguste-Viktoria-Allee, Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, and Scharnweberstraße. Architecturally, it's dominated by pre-war Berlin modernism with its green courtyards – one of the greenest, quietest residential areas in northwestern Berlin. These courtyard structures are precisely what make the festival possible: residents open their courtyards for a weekend, and the city sounds like a village.
The Allee der Klänge is curated and organized by Kirschendieb & Perlensucher Kulturprojekte, a collective based in Reinickendorf specializing in site-specific music and cultural formats. Supported by the district of Reinickendorf, Berlin, and local partners.
The 8th Allee der Klänge takes place on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026. The venue is the Augustekiez in the Reinickendorf district, postal code 13403 Berlin. The concerts are spread across approximately ten performance locations in courtyards, gardens, and small parks along Auguste-Viktoria-Allee and Scharnweberstraße.
The program mixes family concerts in the afternoon, jazz in the early evening, world music, and singer-songwriter sets in the evening. Free admission at all venues – a donation for the musicians is welcome.
The full lineup and venue map will be published in spring 2026 at kirschendieb-perlensucher.de.
