Schützenverein Hubertus since 1951
The Schützenverein Hubertus Tagmersheim was founded in 1951 and has been deeply rooted in village tradition ever since. 75 years later, the club is one of the most traditional shooting clubs in the Donau-Ries district and the Bavarian shooting guild Donau-Ries. Club life includes king's shooting, St. Sebastian's Day celebration, guild shooting, and social events throughout the year.
The Anniversary Year 2026
The entire year 2026 is an anniversary year for SV Hubertus Tagmersheim. The most important milestones: King's shooting at the beginning of January, St. Sebastian's Day celebration on January 18th, request for patrons on April 11th in Wemding, 75 years of the Donau-Ries shooting guild on April 18th in Wemding, group photo on May 1st, and finally the club's own festive weekend from July 24th-26th. The date ties into the Swabian summer tradition of shooting festivals.
Festive Weekend July 24th-26th, 2026
The festive weekend will span three days with classic shooting festival dramaturgy: Gala evening with marquee on Friday evening, official ceremony and Bavarian Evening on Saturday, grand parade of shooting clubs from the Donau-Ries on Sunday, followed by a Frühschoppen (morning pint) and festival finale. Friendly clubs from Wemding, Riedlingen, Gansheim, and the surrounding area will participate.
Tagmersheim and the Donau-Ries
Tagmersheim is a municipality in the Donau-Ries district (Bavarian Swabia), near Wemding and Monheim, at the transition between the Swabian Jura and the Danube valley. The region actively cultivates the shooting tradition — almost every municipality has a shooting club. A 75th anniversary is therefore of great importance here and is recognized by the entire shooting guild.
75 Years SV Hubertus Tagmersheim — edition 2026
The festive weekend from July 24th to 26th, 2026, is the highlight of the anniversary year for SV Hubertus Tagmersheim. Festival director Adolf Hammer has prepared the program together with club chairman Christian Kühner.
The anniversary follows a series of events: request for patrons on April 11th, 2026, in Wemding, 75 years of the Donau-Ries shooting guild on April 18th, 2026 (also in Wemding), group photo on May 1st, and finally the festive weekend itself. Accompanying events such as the Hubertus Festival Evening, the Riedlingen 100th Anniversary celebration (May 29th-31st), and the Stocknockerl Cup (June 4th) fit harmoniously into the club year.

Getting There
By car via the B 2 from Donauwörth or Ingolstadt, then turn off towards Tagmersheim. Parking around the shooting club house and in the village center. Train connection to Donauwörth (12 km), then bus or taxi.
Admission
Admission to the marquee is free. A Maß of beer at usual shooting festival prices in the Donau-Ries (approx. 9-10 EUR). The parade on Sunday is publicly accessible.
