With a five-day anniversary festival, Westendorf is honoring these 150 years in 2026.

The motto says it all: five days, from June 3 to 7, 2026, festival operations on the Westendorf festival grounds, with a program that combines the classics of Bavarian fire department festivals with modern festival logistics. The highlight is the Festival Night on Thursday, June 4, which is explicitly designed as an open-air concert evening and goes beyond the usual festival tent format.
Festival Night with Bavarian Party Bands
Four Bavarian party bands will headline the Festival Night: Meine Lieblingsband, Los Brudalos, Anja Bavaria, and Luca Dante Spadafora — a mix of modern Schlager, party, and dialect acts that have been performing at Bavarian festivals for years. Tickets are available online via TicketPAY for €33 (group tickets for five people or more cost €132). The festival grounds will open before the concert.
Donau-Ries and Swabian Bavaria
Westendorf is located in the Donau-Ries district (administrative seat Donauwörth), in the Bavarian-Swabian region at the transition from the Swabian Jura to the Ries crater. The region is characterized by small, traditional communities with active club culture. In 2026, dozens of fire department anniversaries will take place in the districts of Augsburg, Donau-Ries, and Aichach-Friedberg — Westendorf is one of the larger anniversaries, with its own Festival Night.

From Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Westendorf festival grounds will become the heart of the community. A festival tent, stage, catering stands, and club tents will be set up for the 150th anniversary celebration of the Westendorf Volunteer Fire Department. With the slogan »1 Festival, 5 Days, 0 Excuses«, the fire department invites its citizens, guests, and fellow fire departments from the Donau-Ries region to celebrate together.
The complete daily program — ceremonies, church service, parade, music evenings — will be published on the fire department's website and in the local media of the Donau-Ries region.
