Overview

In the 2025 club year, the Westendorf Volunteer Fire Department focused on preparations for the major 150th founding anniversary in 2026. In addition, the department handled its regular missions and training exercises in the Donau-Ries district — twelve missions in 2024 according to StadtZeitung — as well as club activities such as training, courses, and preparations for the 2026 Festival Night.

2025 Preparation Year

In 2025, the final preparation phase for the grand 150th anniversary festival in 2026 took place. As always, the Westendorf Volunteer Fire Department was on duty for the safety of the community — according to StadtZeitung Augsburg, the Westendorf firefighters responded to twelve calls in the reporting year.

In parallel, festival preparations were underway: program planning with party bands for the Festival Night, agreements with the TicketPAY portal, festival tent logistics, permits, and advertising. The anniversary website was launched, and ticket sales began. With »To God the honor, to the neighbor the help«, the motto of the Bavarian fire departments, the department looks back on its 150 years in 2026.
