120 Years of Club History
The SV Frisch-Auf 1906 Blau-Weiss Hintersee e.V. was founded in 1906, making it one of the oldest sports clubs in Vorpommern. For twelve decades, the club has shaped the social life of the Hintersee community in the Amt am Stettiner Haff. For its 120th anniversary, the club invites the population of the entire region to a three-day anniversary festival over Pentecost 2026.
A Parade with Pipes
The event kicks off on Pentecost Saturday with a parade through the village, accompanied by the traditional Schalmeienkapelle Rossow (pipe band). Club flags, the sound of pipes, and ceremonial speeches open the anniversary weekend. At the sports grounds, a volleyball tournament, face painting, and a bouncy castle follow — the program is deliberately aimed at all generations.
Boat Parade and Village Sports
On Pentecost Sunday, the program starts at 11:00 AM with a festive boat parade on the Hintersee village lake — a tradition that reflects the village's close relationship with water. In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, classic popular sports disciplines such as archery, javelin throw, streetball, darts, and children's games will be offered. The day concludes around a campfire.
Connection to the Whit Monday Classic
On Whit Monday, the annual 19th Hintersee Individual Time Trial, organized by the Hintersee cycling team, takes place on the club grounds — a bike race closely linked to the sports club. The integration of both events shows how deeply the club structure influences sporting life in the village.
Catering and Atmosphere
Throughout the weekend, barbecue stations, coffee, cake, and ice cream will provide culinary delights. A DJ will provide entertainment for the dance evening on Pentecost Saturday at 8:00 PM in the sports club restaurant — a low-threshold festivity for the whole family and the village. Embedded in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald and the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the festival exemplifies the vitality of volunteer-driven club culture in rural areas.

Pentecost Saturday — Ceremony and Games
Gather from 10:15 AM at the Hintersee sports grounds. At 11:00 AM, the parade with the Rossow pipe band begins through the village. Official speeches, a volleyball tournament, face painting, and a bouncy castle follow. At 8:00 PM, the dance evening starts.
Pentecost Sunday — Water and Competitions
11:00 AM: Boat parade on the village lake. 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Popular sports competitions — archery, javelin throw, streetball, darts, and children's games. The day concludes around a campfire.
Whit Monday — Individual Time Trial
9:30 AM to 2:00 PM: 19th Hintersee Individual Time Trial by the Hintersee cycling team at the Fennschänke. Route: 18.5 km to Ahlbeck and back. Award ceremony around 1:00 PM — simultaneously the conclusion of the entire anniversary weekend.

Getting There
By Car: Via the A20 (exit Anklam or Pasewalk), then B110 or L283 to Hintersee. Parking available at the sports grounds and in the village.
By Train: Nearest station is Ueckermünde Stadthafen (approx. 15 km). From there, take a bus or taxi to Hintersee.
Admission
Admission to the entire festival weekend is free. Food and drinks (barbecue, coffee, cake, ice cream) and the dance evening are payable on a self-service basis.
On Site
The main venue is the Hintersee sports grounds, supplemented by the village lake (boat parade on Sunday) and the Fennschänke (bike race on Monday). Family-friendly, with a marquee and sports club restaurant for protection against the weather.
