100 Years of Black Forest Sports History

In 1926, in the midst of the Weimar Republic, the Spielvereinigung 1926 Schiltach was founded in the small Black Forest town of Schiltach. From Friday, June 26, to Monday, June 29, 2026, the SpVgg will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a four-day program of festivities at the Vor Kuhbach sports ground. An anniversary that is generating maximum attention in the town of just under 3,700 inhabitants.

A Festival Program Centered Around Sport, Celebration, and History

The SpVgg's festival program deliberately emphasizes several aspects. Sportingly: On Friday evening, a Women's Penalty Shootout Tournament with friendly clubs from the region kicks off at 5 PM — the tournament continues into the late Saturday evening. Simultaneously, there's a free sports day with various disciplines for the Black Forest region: families can get to know the Vor Kuhbach sports ground, and children can try out taster sessions with the various departments of the SpVgg.

Socially: A gala evening with a dinner honors long-standing club members and officials. Speeches, awards, live music, a classic Swabian-Baden club anniversary event of high caliber.

"More than a 1:0" — Exhibition at the Museum am Markt

Running concurrently with the festival weekend, the Museum am Markt Schiltach hosts a special exhibition titled "More than a 1:0." It documents 100 years of club history: the founding in 1926, the club years during the Nazi era, the reconstruction after 1945, sporting successes in the Verbandsliga, youth work, the women's department, club life with festivals, meetings, and financial plans. A socio-historical study of a Black Forest sports club over a century — and thus a reflection of the region's history.

Anniversary Jersey

A special tradition for major club anniversaries: the anniversary jersey. In 2026, the SpVgg is offering an official SVS anniversary jersey in youth and adult sizes for 40 to 45 euros. Sales are through the club website spvgg-schiltach.de — and it's a collector's item for SpVgg fans and residents of Schiltach.

Schiltach — One of Southern Germany's Most Beautiful Half-Timbered Towns

Schiltach, a small town with around 3,700 inhabitants in the Rottweil district, is located at the confluence of the Kinzig and Schiltach rivers in the central Black Forest. It is primarily known for its exceptionally well-preserved half-timbered old town — the market square, town hall, the Schüttesäge museum, and the famous view of the old town from Galgenberg hill. Visitors attending the festival weekend can combine their stay in one of the most beautiful Black Forest towns with the club anniversary — a blend of festival culture and tourist experience.

100 Years SpVgg Schiltach — edition 2026

Four Days of Festivities for the Anniversary
