Film Culture for the Sinngrund
The Sinngrundkino is more than just a cinema – it's a community project of the town of Rieneck in the Main-Spessart district. The film series is organized by the IG Brauchtum und Kultur Rieneck, the City of Rieneck, and the Sinngrundallianz. The aim is to make current films accessible to a broad audience free of charge in a rural region without a permanent cinema.
The Concept
Screening days take place several times a year at the Rieneck Community Centre. The programme typically consists of two films: a family screening at 4 p.m. (animated film, children's cinema) and an evening film at 7 p.m. for adults (comedy, drama, science fiction). Entry begins half an hour before the film starts. Admission is free for everyone – a remarkable offer in times of rising cinema prices.
Venue
The Rieneck Community Centre is located at Schulgasse 4, right in the heart of the historic town on the Sinn river. Rieneck is part of the Spessart Nature Park and is accessible via the A7 motorway (Hammelburg exit) or the B26 federal road. The film screenings are shown in a spacious assembly hall.
Programme Variety
- Family films (Schule der magischen Tiere, animation)
- Current blockbusters (Kanu des Manitu, Elio)
- Comedies and dramas for adults
- Seasonal themed films
The programme is announced in the Rieneck town event calendar and via the Sinngrundallianz.
