125 Years of Hansgrohe — Water Shaped in the Black Forest
The history of the Hansgrohe Group began in 1901 when Hans Grohe opened a small workshop for metal spinning in Schiltach (Rottweil district, Baden-Württemberg). Over 125 years, the family business from the Black Forest has grown into a globally active group that supplies fittings, showers, and kitchen fittings to more than 140 countries under the Hansgrohe and AXOR brands. The headquarters in the Kinzig Valley, with over 2,000 employees, remains the heart of the company to this day — and it is precisely here that the celebration will take place on June 13, 2026.
Summer Festival Under the Motto “Pioneer of Water”
The anniversary festival on Saturday, June 13, 2026, is designed as a large summer festival for Hansgrohe employees and their families. The official anniversary motto is “Pioneer of Water. Since 1901.” — a tribute to the company's pioneering role in sanitary technology. Schiltach expects a significantly increased number of visitors in June, as the Hansgrohe anniversary, alongside the 100th anniversary of SpVgg 1926 Schiltach (June 26–29, 2026), is one of the major events of the year in the small Black Forest town.
Reopening of the Aquademie Exhibition
A second program item in the anniversary year is the reopening of the revised brand exhibition at the Hansgrohe Aquademie. The striking glass building on Auestraße is a showroom, training center, and brand experience world all in one — and has been a popular excursion destination in the Kinzig Valley for years. The newly staged exhibition tells the story of the company, the development of bathroom and shower culture, and showcases iconic products from 125 years of Black Forest shower manufacturing.
Schiltach — Historic Black Forest Town with a Global Corporation
Schiltach, in the Rottweil district, with its approximately 3,800 inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful half-timbered towns in the central Black Forest — and yet it is home to two world brands: Hansgrohe and its sister company Hansgrohe (formerly operating as separate companies Hansgrohe / Hansa). This unusual constellation shapes the town and its identity as the “Shower Town in the Black Forest”.

Hansgrohe 125 Years — Celebration Day on June 13, 2026
The exact birthday will be celebrated on the premises and grounds of Hansgrohe SE in Schiltach. The employee summer festival with a family program forms the highlight of the anniversary year, which began as early as February 2026 with employee events, customer events, and international brand communication.
Concurrently, the Aquademie at Auestraße 5–9 will reopen its doors after renovation: The brand exhibition has been revised and tells the 125-year history of the company — from Hans Grohe's first workshop in 1901 to today's global brand portfolio with Hansgrohe and AXOR.

Getting There
Train: Schwarzwaldbahn line from Offenburg or Konstanz, stop Schiltach. Approximately a 10-minute walk from the station to the Hansgrohe headquarters.
Car: Take the A5 motorway, exit Offenburg, then follow the B33 into the Kinzig Valley towards Schramberg, Schiltach. Parking is available directly at the factory premises or in the town center (within walking distance).
