Festival Weekend on the Heuberg
From Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, the Musikkapelle Kolbingen will celebrate its 100th anniversary with three full festival days. Friday already offers the complete program — keg tapping, craftsmen's supper, brass double act, and party night. Saturday and Sunday build on each other: festival activities with Blaska during the day, Die Draufgänger in the evening, and on Sunday, the grand parade to conclude the festivities.
Tickets are sold via Eventim Light, with individual rates per evening and a combo ticket for the entire weekend. Those arriving with campers will find parking spaces in the surrounding meadows — details on the festival website 100mkk.de.

A Whole Century of Brass Music on the Heuberg
When a Swabian music association turns 100, the village becomes a festival ground. From Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, the Musikkapelle Kolbingen — MKK for short — will celebrate its grand anniversary on the festival grounds above the village. Three days of festivities with catering, a large parade, two party nights, and a rousing morning pint (Frühschoppen). Tickets are available via Eventim Light.
Three Days, Three Worlds
The anniversary program deliberately explores the full spectrum of modern festival tent lifestyle. Friday begins classically with a craftsmen's supper (Handwerkervesper) and the ceremonial tapping of the first keg (Fassanstich), followed by a double act from Heubergblech and Schweißblech — two brass ensembles proving that brass music in a festival tent in 2026 has nothing to do with Aunt Hertha's polka anymore. Late in the evening, Stubete Gäng from Switzerland takes over, one of the most popular dialect party bands in the Alpine region. On Saturday, Blaska creates a lively atmosphere during the day, and in the evening, Die Draufgänger, arguably the most famous Tyrolean party band of today, takes the stage — if you know Andreas Gabalier, you know the genre. Sunday is a classic home game: a grand parade, a midday meal in the tent, plus soloists Michael Maier and Jörg Bollin.
The MKK — Community Life on the Heuberg
The Musikkapelle Kolbingen was founded in 1926 and has since shaped the musical life of the community of just under 1,200 inhabitants in the Tuttlingen district. With around 45 active musicians, a youth band, and music education for students, the MKK is one of the most vibrant associations on the Heuberg. Performances at the district music festival (Kreismusikfest), church concerts, Corpus Christi (Fronleichnam), and National Day of Mourning (Volkstrauertag) structure the annual calendar. The 100th anniversary is the highlight of an entire festival season — other events take place throughout the year.
Kolbingen — Village on the Großer Heuberg
Kolbingen is located at an altitude of 850 meters on the Großer Heuberg, the highest part of the Swabian Jura. With around 1,200 inhabitants, it is a typical Heuberg community: rural, predominantly Protestant, with active club life and a landscape that attracts hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers in summer. The Kolbinger Cave, a dripstone cave right on the edge of the village, is known beyond the region. Those arriving for the anniversary weekend can take the Heuberg as a small holiday destination.
