Edition 2025 — 100 Years MKK
In the summer of 2025, preparations for the MKK's grand 100th anniversary were in full swing. Various smaller events and concerts by the association accompanied the preparations. The Musikkapelle Kolbingen has been an integral part of cultural life on the Heuberg since 1926.
On the Road to the Anniversary
The year 2025 was dedicated by the Musikkapelle Kolbingen to preparations for the 100th anniversary in 2026. With its usual performances at the district music festival, church concerts, and religious festivals, the association fulfilled its annual mission — while the organizing committee planned the major three-day festival for the following year.
It is the continuous work of the association that makes a hundredth anniversary possible. With around 45 active musicians, a youth band, and music education for students, the MKK exemplifies how a village association sustains itself over generations — and why a 100th birthday in a festival tent on the outskirts means more than just a nice party for Kolbingen.
