About Schützenfest Langenhagen

The Schützenfest Langenhagen is one of the most traditional marksmen's festivals in the Hannover region. For four days – from Thursday to Sunday – the fairground south of the Langenhagen City Center (CCL) transforms into a festival meadow with a large marquee, amusement rides, shooting ranges, and catering. It opens on Thursday evening at 7:30 PM with the traditional tap ceremony. Friday features a children's afternoon and the live band Fellberg Granaten Band; Saturday follows with the grand marksmen's parade and an NDR-1 Disco; Sunday concludes with a banquet and the marksmen's parade at 3:30 PM. The festival is the social highlight of the town and a meeting point for all generations.

CCL Fairground

The fairground south of the City Center is easily accessible and offers ample space for a large marquee, several amusement rides (Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carousels), as well as shooting ranges and showmen. The town center is within a few minutes' walking distance.

During the Schützenfest, uniforms, flags, and music groups shape the image of Langenhagen. The marksmen's clubs from the districts march together, representing a piece of lived urban culture that has been lost in many large cities with such intensity.

From September 3rd to 6th, 2026, Langenhagen celebrates its four-day marksmen's and folk festival at the fairground south of the City Center (CCL).
