Leipzig is all about euro-scene on Saturday, November 7, 2026, and on Sunday, November 8. The festival plays in Schauspiel, Oper, LOFFT and Westflügel Leipzig.
The 36th edition of euro-scene Leipzig
euro-scene Leipzig is an international dance and theatre festival that has taken place every November since 1991 and set out from the start to be a bridge between Western and Eastern Europe, and its 36th edition runs from November 3 to 8, 2026. Saturday and Sunday are the last two days.
For six days the festival has 12 to 14 international productions from dance, theatre and performative art forms on its programme, bold, issue-driven pieces from across Europe and its global connections, combined with world premieres and German premieres.
The festival continues on Saturday, November 7, and ends on Sunday.
The venues and the best German dance solo
Schauspiel Leipzig hosts the large theatre productions, Oper Leipzig the dance productions, Theater der Jungen Welt takes the youth and children's performances, Schaubühne Lindenfels and LOFFT are reserved for experimental pieces, and Westflügel Leipzig for intimate formats. The festival also uses unusual venues such as museums.
Every year, the competition "Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo" (the best German dance solo) takes place within euro-scene, a central platform for German dance artists. The mix of international festival and national competition makes euro-scene a hub of the German-language dance and theatre scene.
The City of Leipzig and the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism fund the festival.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are sold per performance or as a festival pass, online and at the box office of each venue.
