World Premiere — Truck Racing meets Youth Culture, Innovation, and Electronic Festival
On May 16th and 17th, 2026, the Hockenheimring will be the stage for a world premiere: the Young TGP Hockenheimring. It is the first event of the new TGP Championship 2026 season in a completely new format, combining Truck Racing with youth culture, innovation, education, and young talent development. A concept specifically designed to introduce young audiences to motorsport — using the means that shape youth culture today: electronic music, festival atmosphere, and an open, participatory approach.
The sporting core of the weekend includes four racing series:
This mix aims to maintain excitement throughout the weekend — from the historic class to the modern truck championship.
On Saturday evening, the paddock transforms into a festival stage with three electronic DJs:
This programming positions the event as a dual event: race day and festival evening in one. For visitors, this means: truck races during the day, festival vibes in the evening.
The concept explicitly targets young audiences, students, apprentices, and young professionals — target groups that the classic motorsport market has tended to lose in recent years. At the same time, it offers brands a platform to present themselves to the next generation. Truck Racing — previously a niche for motorsport enthusiasts — becomes a stage for youth culture, innovation, and young talent development.
The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg is one of Germany's most traditional race tracks. Home to Formula 1 until 2007, it now hosts the DTM, international touring car series, MotoGP tests, and major automotive events. The track is located in Hockenheim in the Rhein-Neckar district, approx. 20 km southwest of Mannheim and 20 km north of Speyer. The Grand Prix circuit measures 4.574 km and is known for its fast straights and the hairpin turn.
Tickets start at €20 — a deliberately low entry price that suits the young target audience. Detailed tariffs and weekend packages are available on the Hockenheimring website.
