The classic Truck Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring was also an established event on the motorsport calendar in 2025. The TGP series brought together 5-ton trucks for spectacular races on the Grand Prix circuit. With the Young TGP 2026, the format is being completely reinvented and expanded with festival and youth culture elements.

Truck Grand Prix Before the Format Change

Before the format premiere in 2026, the Truck Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring was a classic motorsport event with long-standing recognition. 5-ton trucks competed in spectacular races on the Grand Prix circuit, and the weekend attracted motorsport fans from all over Germany and Europe.

With the Young TGP Hockenheimring 2026, the format is being fundamentally reinvented: Truck Racing meets youth culture, the weekend will be complemented by an Electronic Festival, and the focus will shift to young audiences and talent development. This is a response to the structural changes in the motorsport market, aiming to retain existing fans and attract new generations.
